Rio, as he is called, is a real gem who always shows up and is a horse that stands out in the crowd with his size and gentle nature. He doesn't feel big to ride as he is very light, airy, and has a short body! He moves very nicely and carries smaller riders excellently too! He will be what you make of him, equally suited as a teacher in dressage, to pick up jumping again, or why not vaulting or eventing. Can be ridden out alone or with company, kind in all handling, and the usual things like clipping, shoeing, loading, and washing are no problem. Currently lives alone but is just as happy with a friend in the pasture, no problem leaving him alone indoors or outdoors. A very uncomplicated guy, simply put! In handling, he is the world's nicest horse that anyone can handle, loves to cuddle and would gladly sit in a pocket if he could! Extremely kind, can be a bit watchful when ridden but is never ever naughty, at most he might startle or stop, has never bolted. Lively and happy with his own engine, not heavy to ride, willing to do anything, is very concerned about his rider and always wants to do the right thing! Very quick learner, forgiving, and caring. Some injury history but nothing significant! He had a keratom in his right hind leg, discovered during CT scan by previous owner, and operated on when he was 7 years old, I believe. Operated without complications and nothing he has had problems with afterwards. Had a hoof sole inflammation on the same leg but it had nothing to do with the previous injury, healed well after treatment. He is allergic to beet pulp, otherwise he is completely healthy! No X-ray findings, last X-rayed at 10 years old. Not competed in the last 5 years but is in competition condition if there is interest. Competed in jumping and eventing with breeder Staffan Lidbeck with good results when younger, so he is a true all-rounder that you can learn a lot from and have fun with! In full work, confirmed changes, does series, started piaffe and pirouette work. Bought him unseen almost 3 years ago and truly love this horse to death. Unfortunately, I cannot keep him due to financial reasons and it breaks my heart. He is truly the finest in the world in every way and deserves to end up in the best home!
