Flo is a fully-grown C-pony measuring 14.0hh (140cm), born in 2012 and imported from Ireland. She has been in our possession for a little over five years and is a spirited and happy pony who truly loves to jump. She is only being sold because her current rider has outgrown her.
She has taken her current rider from riding school level to LA (Medium) and jumps LA courses without problems with the right support from the rider. She has a big, ground-covering canter, is easy to turn, and quick in jump-offs. She has numerous placings up to LB (Novice) and is a pony you rarely leave a competition without a rosette with. She always looks for fences and happily jumps what is presented in front of her, but can refuse if a situation feels unsafe. She is trained at LA (Medium) level and has also jumped individual fences at higher heights. She has lovely gaits and also finds cross-country-style fences a lot of fun.
Flo is a sensitive pony with a bit of a mischievous streak. She needs an experienced rider with a firm hand, but who is also soft, responsive, and has feel. She is not a beginner or first pony. During the winter months, she can become extra spirited, hot, and strong. Even on hacks, she requires her rider's full attention. She can be tense on her own, but is ridden both alone and in a group. With company, she is very kind and safe to hack out.
Once you have earned her trust, you get an incredibly loyal pony who will do anything for her rider. She is super easy to shoe, load, clip, and bathe. She is low in the herd hierarchy and gets along with most horses, but is not suited for herd living.
Flo is regularly checked by a veterinarian and osteopath and is a healthy and sound pony. In February, her splint bone was kicked by another horse. The injury was operated on, and she has undergone rehabilitation according to the veterinarian's plan. She is now back in training and competition. We are happy to provide more details about the injury and rehabilitation, and veterinary records are available for review. Fully insured with Agria without reservations.
We are very particular about where Flo ends up as she means a great deal to us. She needs varied training and regular hacks to thrive. We are looking for a long-term, loving, five-star home where she can continue to develop and be someone's best friend.
Only serious adults are welcome to inquire. Stable space and finances must be arranged. We reserve the right to choose the buyer and would appreciate continued contact after the sale. Lots of videos are available on Instagram, team_sksflo, from both training and competitions. Some equipment is included.
